As we know that  Hiranyashk and hiranyakashipoo are brothers.Lord vishnu killed hiranyashkfrom that hiranyakashipu became the enemy of lord Vishnu to get powers,he went for meditation. During that time, Kayadu was pregnant, she thought that her son will also become a demoniac. During that Indra muttered to himself that Hirankashipu will die at one day, but his son? So he kidnapped Kayadu. They met Narada Muni, he cleared all the thing. He took kayadu and told many stories So from woom only, he became a great devotee of lord vishnu. When he was born.After many years, Prahalad was sent to gurukool. When
he came, his father ask him that “What is the best thing you learn. He told many shlokas related Lord Vishnu. Hiranakashipu became very angry.he said “I am your lord”. But he repeated he same thing. He
kicked him. Hiranyakashipu decided to kill him, like that he made many plans like he tried to throw him from a mountain, put him in the huge pot of boiled oil etc. At last he called his sister Holika because she 
has got a vardaan that she would never burn by fire. So she made Prahalad sat on her lap and sat in fire. But as she was misusing her powers she herself burnt in fire and Prahalad was safe. Not even one 
scratch was on the body of Prahalad maharaj because he was chanting the holy names. So one day he really got fed up and he asked Prahalad that “is your god in this pillar. Prahalad said “yes”. So he tried 
to break the pillar and then automatically Narsimha dev came out. Then Narsimha dev took him on his lap and killed him with his sharp nails.
